  Ladies and Gentlemen,

  Good afternoon!

My name is David.I come from Jiangsu Province.Right now I start my own business in Yiwu I am very happy to have a chance to share the topic with all of you.My topic is “cherish what you have right now”。Before my topic , I would like to tell you a story.

Long long time ago there was a big mountain. In the mountain there was a temple. In the temple there were two monks. One is an old monk, the other is a young monk. One day the old said to the young: “You can go outside of the mountain to travel around and experience the life of common people. But you are required to come back after 10 years.” The young nodded. He left the mountain and traveled. Ten years later,he came back at last. The old monk asked him a question: “what have you learned in the past ten years?” The young answered: “ In the past 10 years I have come to know that the most important thing is what I have lost and what I haven’t got.” The old smiled and said nothing.Time passed quickly. One year later, the old said to the young again: “You can travel around again for another 10 years”。 The young followed it. Another 10 years later, the young returned. The time the old monk asked him the same question: “What have you learned in the past 10 years?” The young kept silent for while and said: “In the world the most important thing is not what I have lost and not what I haven’t got but what I have right now.Just cherish it.”

So much for the story. But the answer in the story is very instructive. Sometimes it makes me think a lot. “Just cherish what you have right now.” It is a very good idea. But maybe you have the question: What is “cherish”? Could you tell me the detail meaning? Ok! I tell you the answer. Cherish means just to keep it ,to hold it , to love it and to protect it.For example, you have a nice popular and fashion IPhone, just cherish it means to keep it well ,to hold it well, love it well and protect it well.Understand? I see. You got it.OK! Right now I have a question for you: What do you have right now? Maybe you will say “I have a lot of money.” maybe you will say : “ I have a big house” maybe he will say:“I have a rich car” Maybe she will say: “I have a smart boy friend.” Maybe ,maybe ,maybe ,maybe there are lots of maybes.Maybe different people have different answer for it.But it doesn’t matter. No matter whatever your answer is, just cherish it.Cherish what you have right now.Cherish your parents, especially when they become older and older, give more love to them. Otheriwse you will have more regrets.Cherish your family members, especially your your best to spare and spend more time to be with ,you don't have chance to regret it.Cherish your friends, especially when they are in trouble. Spare no efforts to help them your friends will go away from you one day.Cherish,cherish,cherish.As long as you cherish what you have right.

There is a wonderful word which expresses the most original motions and desires among human-beings. With solving any kind of imperfections, our world has moved ahead. This is the word “innovation” that we cannot afford to lose. We chicaned every detail of the innovation. Thousands years before, we created fire when we took a stone to knock another one. Since Han Dynasty, four great inventions had been created and it is one of the greatest signs that China become to the ancient civilized country. And nowadays, thousands of software, products, architectures and public facilities have upgraded more than that about 100 years ago. So how did these happen? What will you do if you are not satisfied with your tools anymore? What will you do if old mode cannot afford to develop in a company? There is no doubt that we should innovate no matter where we are and what we do. Not because of the design itself, but actually for its intended purpose. If there was no Apple, everyone could not imagine how to contact others easily and enjoy a better Internet surfing. If there was no Microsoft, perhaps we still worked in a dim office and duplicate some troublesome documents. If there was no Newton, and no theory of gravity, maybe I will win the Nobel Prize like Newton rather than just standing here. I have heard that three apple changed the world. The first one seduced Eve. The second one awakened Newton. The third one was in the hands of Steve Jobs. We sort of think the innovation of the world began with apple. I imagine lots of people want to become another Newton or Jobs right now with just one hand to change the world, right? Have the innovation to follow your heart. It somehow already reflects what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. Via questioning, we can start to innovate. Via innovating, we can start to create better lives. No innovation, no improvement. No improvement, no success. And no success, no civilization. Now, our time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life! Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice! Don't let yourself down! It is the innovation that we cannot afford to lose!

  ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!

i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it, and found our young people’s advantages.

people are always taking about the problem of youth. if there is one —which i take leave doubt —then it is older people who create it, not the young themselves. there is only one difference between an old man and a young one: the young man has a glorious future before him and the old one has a splendid future behind him.

about two years ago, i was graduated in nanjing university and came into company and then i was assigned the department of , and became an assistant of technical. i felt that i was just young and uncertain—that i was a new person in a huge factory. i felt that people use the curiosity eyes looking at me, and gave me a message that: i have a lot of problems. maybe some of them assumed that i was look like a child and too young to take this work. they often said:“you have not been born when i was join work!”others maybe assumed i was a “bookworm” and lacked practice. also the sense of responsibility maybe is another problem. i would have been very pleased to be regarded as something so interesting as a problem. for one thing, being a problem gives you a certain identity, and that is one of the things the young are busily engaged in seeking.

actually, you find young people eciting. they have an air of freedom, and they have not a dreary commitment to mean ambitions or love of comfort. they are not anious social climbers, and they have no devotion to material things. they accept new things and knowledge very quickly, and give people the impression of sunny.

sometimes, we may be conceited, ill-mannered,fatuous or lazy. well, i acknowledge all of the young people are interesting in entertainment. they maybe dancing or singing very later in the night, and the net day they were very listless in the work. please do not turn for protection to dreary clinch about respect for elders—as if mere age were a reason for respect. we are equals, and you will argue with us, as an equal, if you thick we are wrong. if we do a mistake during the work, please think back recall when you are a fresh man in the factory. so please don not anger and give more patience guide to us just like your master worker guided you.

as the master of a company in the future, our young people must be going on learning in practice, enhance our specialized knowledge and the sense of responsibility. treasures the time and work hard, let the short youth be more meaningful!

  thank you very much!

Hello everyone, the topic of my speech today is: Firm Faith, Transcend Yourself.

Helen Keller has saying vividly: "When a man feels the urge to fly high, he will never be satisfied with climbing on the ground." It is with lofty ideals that there is With this belief, she accepted the challenge of life and created the miracle of life.

She, a weak woman who is blind, deaf, and dumb, graduated from Harvard University, and used all her strength to run around to tell her that she built a charity organization for the benefit of the disabled, and was selected as one of the top ten American heroes and idols in the 20th century. Ideals and beliefs are like raging fires, which made her walk out of darkness and silence. Ideals and beliefs are like huge wings, helping her fly to the sky.

In a sense, people do not live in the material world, but in the spiritual world, in ideals and beliefs. As far as human life is concerned, if you want to survive, you only need a bowl of rice and a glass of water; but if you want to live a wonderful life, you must have spirit, lofty ideals and firm beliefs.

Ideals and beliefs make poor people rich, make people in darkness see light, make people in desperation see hope, and make dreams a reality.

Here I will tell you a story:

In the vast desert, an expedition team is trekking with difficulty. The scorching sun above the head was like fire, and the expedition team members were thirsty and sweating like rain. Worst of all, they ran out of water. Water is the belief that they rely on for survival. When the belief is shattered, one by one seems to have collapsed, lost their souls, and invariably turned their attention to the captain. This is how to do?

The captain took out a kettle from his waist, raised his hands, shook it vigorously, and shouted in surprise, "Oh, I still have a kettle of water here! But before crossing the desert, no one can drink it."

The heavy water bottles were passed from the hands of the team members one by one. The face that was on the verge of despair showed a firm look again. The belief that they must get out of the desert supported them to stumble and move forward step by step. Looking at the kettle, they pursed their chapped lips, suddenly adding strength.

Finally, they escaped from death and walked out of the boundless desert. When everyone wept with joy, they stared at the kettle that gave them the support of their beliefs for a long time.

The captain carefully unscrewed the lid of the kettle, but what was slowly flowing out was wisps of sand. He said sincerely: "As long as there is a firm belief in the heart, dry sand can sometimes become clear spring water."

Black Martin Luther King famously said: "No one in this world can bring you down. If your own beliefs still stand." Yes, even in the most difficult times, do not extinguish the faith in your heart. torches.

Classmates, no matter what your current grades are, no matter what your current foundation is, as long as you have firm beliefs and surpass yourself, you will have the direction to work hard, you will have the goal of struggle, and you will have the motivation to live. You have the hope of success!

five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we stand signed the emancipation proclamation.

this momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice.

it came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity.

but one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the negro is still not free.

one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination.

one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity.

one hundred years later, the negro is still languishing in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land.

so we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition.

in a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check.

when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir.

this note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned.

instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds.

" but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.

we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation.

so we have come to cash this check — a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now.

this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism.

now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice.

now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of god's children.

now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the negro.

this sweltering summer of the negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality.

nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning.

those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual.

there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights.

the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

but there is something that i must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice.

in the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds.

let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.

we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline.

we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence.

again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

the marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

  we cannot walk alone.

and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead.

  we cannot turn back.

there are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "when will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities.

we cannot be satisfied as long as the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one.

we can never be satisfied as long as a negro in mississippi cannot vote and a negro in new york believes he has nothing for which to vote.

no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

i am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations.

some of you have come fresh from narrow cells.

some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality.

you have been the veterans of creative suffering.

continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

go back to mississippi, go back to alabama, go back to georgia, go back to louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

i say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, i still have a dream.

it is a dream deeply rooted in the american dream.

i have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

i have a dream that one day on the red hills of georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

i have a dream that one day even the state of mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

i have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

  i have a dream today.

i have a dream that one day the state of alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.

  i have a dream today.

i have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

  this is our hope.

this is the faith with which i return to the south.

with this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.

with this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

with this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

this will be the day when all of god's children will be able to sing with a new meaning, "my country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee i sing.

land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."

and if america is to be a great nation this must become true.

so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of new hampshire.

let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of new york.

let freedom ring from the heightening alleghenies of pennsylvania!

let freedom ring from the snowcapped rockies of colorado!

let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of california!

but not only that; let freedom ring from stone mountain of georgia!

let freedom ring from lookout mountain of tennessee!

let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of mississippi.

from every mountainside, let freedom ring.

when we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of god's children, black men and white men, jews and gentiles, protestants and catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old negro spiritual, "free at last! free at last! thank god almighty, we are free at last!"

The man I admire is a white haired grandfather.

Speaking of him, I have no deep impression on him. In my eyes, he is just an old man over 60 years old. He never talks. I don't know his name yet. Every time I go to school and school, he cleans the street near my intersection, whether it's windy or rainy.

It is this ordinary grandfather who tells the extraordinary truth. I still remember that day, the grandfather was still sweeping the street. I was walking on the road after school and saw my grandfather sweeping the street. Suddenly, my grandfather coughed. I hesitated for a moment and decided to help him, but he stood up by himself. I was afraid that my grandfather would fall ill, so I asked, "grandfather, why do you sweep the streets every day? Are you a sanitation worker?" he laughed and walked away. The next day, I asked him the same question. "I'm not a sanitation worker," he said solemnly. "I sweep the streets because I want to contribute to society. The reason why I don't leave a name is that no one will remember what you did - except yourself! "I was silent, and I was proud to know such an old man. But for the next ten days, I didn't see my grandfather. After that, I knew he was dead.

Now, selfless dedication has become a "rare species.". We should learn fromgrandfather's quality - selfless dedication!

Good morning Ladies and Gentlmen :

My name is's my great honous to speak here.I am the speaker of number 9. Today my topic is " Let's take action to protect the environment. As we all know, The environment is getting worse and worse, In some places we can't see fish swimming in the river or trees on the hills. Some people even have no clean water to drink. A number of people have been killed by air pollution and water pollution t of all ,people aren't aware of the danger of the pollution. So I think we should do something to protect the environment. what can we do? How to protect our environmemt?

In my opinion, we can go to school on foot or by bike. We can use shopping baskets instead of using the plastic bags when we go shopping. We can use both sides of the paper when we write. And remember don't throw the rubbish everywhere. We can pick up the garbage when we see it. Remember to turn off the faucet. When we leave the room don't forget to turn off the light.

If everyone takes action to protect our environment ,our shool and world will be much more beautiful in the future. DO You know? Today is world earth Let's start to clean up now. Let's protect nature's make our future k you for your attention.

  窗

  Random Thoughts on the Window

  By Qian Zhongshu

It is spring again and the window can be left open as often as one would like. As spring comes in through the windows, so people -- unable to bear staying inside any longer -- go outdoors.

The spring outside, however, is much too cheap, for the sun shines on everything, and so does not seem as bright as that which shoots into the darkness of the house. Outside the sun-sloshed breeze blows everywhere, but it is not so lively as that which stirs the gloominess inside the house.

Even the chirping of the birds sounds so thin and broken that the quietness of the house is needed to set it off. It seems that spring was always meant to be put behind a windowpane for show, just like a picture in a frame.

At the same time it also becomes clear that the door has a different significance from the window. Of course, doors were made for people to pass through; but a window can also sometimes serve as an entrance or as an exit, and is used as such by thieves and by lovers in novels.

In fact the fundamental difference between a door and a window has nothing to do with them being either entrances or exits. When it comes to the admiration of spring, it could be put this way: a door makes it possible for one to go out, whereas a window makes it possible for one not to have to.

A window helps to pull down the partition between man and nature. It leads breezes and sunlight in, and keeps part of the spring in the house. It allows one to sit and enjoy the spring in peace, and makes it unnecessary to go looking for it outside.
