We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely.
When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.

今年，我参加了“英语演讲”体验活动，到了现场，大家都在讨论关于演讲的要领，当然，我和我的朋友皓琳也在紧张的讨论，皓琳问我:“你紧张吗？”我不说紧张不紧张，却反问她:“你紧张吗？”“我很紧张，手都在都呢！”突然，工作人员进来，说要抽号，我心里在想:我会抽到一个什么号码呢？我希望抽到一个居中的号码，这样好缓解一下紧张的情绪。
开始抽号了，我第17个抽，皓琳是第18个抽，她抽到了11号，我抽到了16号，太好了，我心里暗暗窃喜！抽号环节结束了，我们被带到了一个大厅里开始比赛。
首先上场的1号选手，接着是2号、3号……终于到我了，我做了两个深呼吸，自信的.走上台。演讲中，我完全投入到角色里，演讲的非常精彩！当我演讲完，台下响起了热烈的掌声。
我不能放松，因为还有一个环节，即兴问答，评委问了我两个问题，我都对答如流，最终，我晋级了市决赛！

the market economy tells us that everyone should earn a living by selling something. professors sell their knowledge, workers sell their labor, farmers sell their produce. money now appears more powerful than anything else and drives people crazy. the temptation of money often challenges one's honor. we are not ashamed to make more money to have a better life by our sweat. however,there is a widespread concern that millionaires become the heroes no matter whether they make any contribution to our society. some people try desperately to make big money, which, more often than not, end up with degradation, corruption and crime.
though money is indispensable to our life, dirty money may drag us into hell. there are many things no money can buy. we will keep our honor intact at any cost because it is our soul. love of money is the root of all evil. for myself, i would rather die than dishonor myself for money.

20xx年4月24日，在我校大学生活动中心举办了天津市首届独立院校英语演讲及英文歌曲比赛。
本次活动由天津大学仁爱学院主办，校公共外语教学部及英语社协办，在校领导的大力支持下本次活动获得了圆满成功。
本次活动分为上午的演讲比赛和下午的歌唱比赛，首次采用全日制赛程，精彩非凡，选手的优异表现更是一次次把气氛推向高潮。
参赛的共计40名选手都取得了不错的成绩，这次大赛不仅增强了我们独立院校之间的合作，更是一次英语教学成果交流和检验，意义非凡。
这对英语社是一次工作的检验更是一次深刻的学习。在今后的.学习生活之中，英语社仍将一如既往的努力工作，将英语早读，英语讲座，歌曲大赛，演讲大赛等办好，也请校领导和英语教学部批评指正。

大家好，今天我演讲的主题是星空。
光线逐渐暗淡，街道逐渐萧瑟，许多年前的我们也都曾在不同的角落微蒙着我们稚嫩的双眼
去仰望那遥远的星空，宁静，安详的美好，甚至到我们都忘记了美好的存在。那时的我们简单的望着那片黑糊糊的画纸，不觉得时间快，不觉得时间慢，甚至不知道自己的存在。就那么安静的感受着，体会着。我会问天上有多少星星，我会数天上有多少眼睛。所有的过去都是那么简单。
直到一天，我爱上了一位伟人，一位世俗中名垂千古的人物，总是幻想他在明媚阳光下挥洒的激昂。于是我渐渐的忘记了黑夜，忘记了宁静的星空，爱上了阳光，渴望那种放任不羁的自由，顶天立地的自我。总是幻想有一天我也能在明媚的阳光下如此挥洒我的激情。可是，我懵懂青春的第一次觉醒却与高考不期而遇，我告诉自己，走过黑暗，光明就在远方。于是，一次次昏天黑地的摸索，一次次沮丧无力的奋搏，在黑暗的泥藻中挣扎的痛苦都用对远方微光的希望来抹平。再多消极袭来，我都会用微笑扫尾，因为相信，未来，光明很美。所有黑暗只是迎接炫目阳光的前奏。所以，期待绚烂就选择经历黑暗。
黑色六月匆匆流散，留下了一个疲惫的身躯和困顿的心灵，甚至再没激情去感受那两个月的人生狂欢，行尸走肉的回复着元气后就急急忙忙踏上了走向下个的舞台的旅程。
火车送走了我们的身影，也割离了父母的守护，离开了温暖的温室才发现生活的凝重，原来，这就是大学。
一步步被动的安排，一点点无奈的接受，一丝丝淡淡的忧伤？
我们只是为了来上大学，到这个叫做大学的.地方来而一直奋斗？这就是我们寻找的微光？从一个城市苟延残喘的获得走向另一个城市生活就是我们的追寻？浓浓的黑暗还在包围，相比于过去的六月，好像更显厚重啊？因为，我们反而失去了目标。我，没有了梦想......
我们就该这样每天被动的接受着一项项没有目的的事物，学习着一项项没有目标的知识，寂寞时，拥抱着另一个寂寞的灵魂躺在荒凉的空地上迷茫的仰望着空洞的黑夜？！然后让所有的消极将我们吞噬，让我们哭泣。
静静地仰躺在草坪上，得好好想想了。
闭上我们的双眼，再品味一次浓烈的黑暗，然后猛然睁开双眼，呵呵，原来黑夜也可以是亮的，因为这黑夜是星空吧。啊，星空，呵，好久不见，好简单，好宁静的幸福，我，想要些什么了。
星空，除了黑夜的黑暗还有星；光明，除了浓烈的阳光还有黑夜中坚定的星光。
人生很大很远，永远是迷茫的黑布，之所以美丽在于用浓烈阳光抹煞所有的黑暗，是在暗暗地黑煞中能有一颗颗坚定地星星，勇敢的闪耀着。真诚的生活着。
经历了再多的迷茫，现在再多了黑暗又怎么了，只需要勇敢的成为自己，那么不就够了么。 我们所要追寻的不是烈日下的自我，只是星空里的坚守，无论多么迷茫没有支点，我们也会发出身上所有的能量照耀我自己的光明。
找到自己的爱好，找到自己的梦想，给自己每件必须做的事一个充足的理由并勇敢的相信，然后积极阳光的生活下去就是了。
大学，永远不会给我们什么。所有的一切，只能是我们给我们自己的，大学，只是我们的精神图腾。只需要勇敢的去奋搏，我们的星空，必定会星光闪耀！
