我的爷爷年近六旬，两鬓斑白，戴着一副眼镜。爷爷的英语特别好，周围的人都很羡慕他，可谁能知道他学英语付出了多少心血呢？
爷爷特别关心国家大事，自从中国加入世贸组织，中国人学英语的积极性空前高涨。正好社区里办了个英语补习班，爷爷便去报了名，他把这个秘密告诉了我，还叫我别跟别人说。我哈哈大笑说：“您学英语笑死人了。”爷爷却说：“一年后，咱们就比谁的英语好，怎么样？”我爽快地说：“好！”但晚餐时，我却公开了这个消息。爸爸、妈妈、奶奶都捧腹大笑，奶奶说：“你呀！你呀！都这把年纪了，还学什么英语，传出去让人家笑落大门牙！”妈妈说：“您60多岁了，还有这样的雄心壮志？”爷爷沉默了一会儿，生气地说：“我国改革开放30多年来，许多外国人来中国，我外出旅游，碰上外国人，不就可以用英语和外国人交流吗？”爸爸见爷爷生气了，就说：“好！您去学吧！”爷爷学英语的劲头可足啦！每天早上6点前就起床，从练习读26个字母开始，再读记词组……有时把我给吵醒了，我便对爷爷说：“您怎么这么烦……”爷爷说：“你睡吧，我不吵了。”我想：您不吵谁信……早上，我和爷爷一起去买菜，爷爷边走，边念着ABC，旁边的人都望着我们俩笑，我满脸通红，就小声对爷爷说：“您别练了，别人还以为我俩是神经病呢！”爷爷却毫不在意地说：“怕什么，无所谓。”我只好离爷爷远一点了。晚上，我和爷爷一起睡，9点了，爷爷一直在读英语。我夜里起来上厕所时，睁开眼睛，一道刺眼的光向我射来，我一看手表：“呀！12点多了。”我催爷爷睡觉，他拿我没办法，只好睡觉了。
五六个月过去了，我想知道爷爷的英语学得怎么样，便偷偷地听他练习英语，爷爷讲的英语前面的'我明白，可后面的我却一点也听不懂，只好去问他老人家，爷爷笑着对我说：“小子，你的英语不如我哩！”一年多过去了，爷爷的英语，让我没话好说了。

Jiuhuashan(also called "Mount Jiuhua"， literally "Nine Glorious Mountains")
Mount Jiuhua is one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism. It is located in Qingyang County in Anhui province and is famous for its rich landscape and ancient temples.
Many of the mountain’s shrines and temples are dedicated to Ksitigarbha (known in Chinese as Dìzàng， Traditional Chinese：)，
who is a bodhisattva and protector of souls in hell according to Mahayana Buddhist tradition. Pious Buddhists often come to this popular attraction in Anhui to climb to Greater Tiantai peak， which is regarded as Jiuhuashan’s most important peak， although it is not the tallest.
