When Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first began, audiences quickly gravitated towards Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). The relationship was important to both characters moving into Season 4, but their dedication to S.H.I.E.L.D. soon eclipsed their relationship.

EW recently interviewed showrunner Jed Whedon and asked about what the future holds for the fan favorite couple. He promises that the series return will give the couple more time together to try and work through a rough patch in their relationship.
