　　Sports do us good in many respects (TS). It goes without saying that taking exercises can build up our physical strength. In collective sports like basketball， volleyball， or football， we will learn the importance of cooperation. While taking part in sports game， we will try our best to win and arouse ourselves the competitive spirit. Sports can also help us relax after a period of exhausting work. However， as the saying goes， "there are two sides to everything"， and sports is without exception. We may hurt other players or ourselves if we are not careful enough when participating in sports activities. What's more， excessive or severe training can do harm to our health.

　　My participation in sports tells me that sports can make us healthy both physically and psychologically. It is also a good way for people to know each other and can promote friendship between people. So long as we are carefully enough， sports can do us nothing but good.

　　As a middle school student， usually I’m busy and have no time to do other things. But in my spare time， I like reading and traveling. I think they’re fit for me.

　　A good book is a friend who never turns his back upon us. Reading makes me get a lot of knowledge. I usually read classics. They improve my philological ability(语言能力) and makes me know much different philological style in different countries.

　　Well， traveling is good， too. I’ve been to many cities. I think I am just like a modern “Xu Xiake”(徐霞客). It opens up my eyes to the outside world， and makes me feel many different customs.

　　In 2001， at the age of ten， I went to Beijing to take part in a chorus(合唱) competition by myself. It was my first time to travel without my parents. At first I felt very excited. I had a very heavy bag， and I had to carry it on my back. Then on the train， I couldn’t go to sleep. I missed my home and my parents， and my tears rolled down my face. In Beijing， I visited a lot of places of interest. In my opinion， Beijing， the capital of China， is a mixture of modern civilization and ancient civilization. In Beijing Science Museum， I got a lot of knowledge. Also， I got a lot from other activities.

　　Life may be sour， sweet， bitter or hot. It gives us different feelings. Life is like a poem， which gives us taste; life is as beautiful as songs; life is also like paintings， and it is very colorful!

　　My grandma lived in the country twelve years ago. At that time， I often went to visit my grandparents with my parents during the holidays. Although I was very young then， now I can still remember a lot of things there clearly.

　　I was very glad when we went to the country. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful things in the countryside. My grandpa grew many kinds of vegetables in his garden， such as cabbages， tomatoes， potatoes and carrots. Every morning， he fetched water from a river， and then watered the vegetables. Grandpa took good care of his vegetables as if they were his children. When autumn came， the garden was covered with greenery(绿色植物). Grandpa was always happy to see that. My grandma kept many chickens. They were all very lively. I liked playing with them; sometimes I had dinner with them playing around. I always thought they loved me.

　　There was a small forest near my grandparents’ house. The trees were very thick. I usually played with my cousin in the woods after a meal. We could hear the birds singing in the trees and see many small animals playing in the grass. The air in the woods was fresh because of the trees. We usually played a game called “Mud Fighting”(打泥仗). First， we made mud balls. The more， the better; the bigger， the better. Then， we threw them at each other. The person who hit the other person first was the winner. We liked the game though it made our clothes dirty.

　　In front of the woods， there was a small river. The water in the river was very clean and not very deep. In summer， it was quite cool. However， it became warm in winter. I could see many fishes in the river. Sometimes， my grandpa caught some fishes for supper. How delicious they were! There was a bridge which was made of stone over the river. I could go across the bridge to the other side. There were also many beautiful flowers and lines of trees on the banks of the river.

　　Eight years ago my grandparents moved to the city and I’ve never gone to that village. However， I still remember it. I love the village and everything there and I will remember it forever!
