Winter was gone, spring comes. I love spring best, because it's very beautiful. In spring, the weather is always sunny and rainy, it’s not cold and not hot, it’s warmer and warmer. The flowers begin to open and the trees begin to turn green. There are many butterflies and bees over the flowers. The butterflies are dancing and the bees are singing. The birds are singing in the sky, they are happy. The animals will go out to play. Many people like to go out and enjoy the sunshine. I like wearing my sweater and jeans, I like to fly kites, plant trees and see the beautiful flowers. Spring is colorful, I think it's a wonderful season.

we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. now is the time to make justice a reality for all of god's children.

it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. this sweltering summer of the negro's legitimate discontent will not pauntil there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. and those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to busineas usual. and there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

but there is something that i must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: in the proceof gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterneand hatred. we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

  Money and Honor

the duality of money has been puzzling people since its first appearante. on the one hand, clean money can sweeten your life, help you succeed and be your lifelong faithful companion. on the other hand, dirty money may posion your mind, ruin your happiness and discard you suddenly as a false friend.

the market economy tells us that everyone should earn a living by selling something. professors sell their knowledge, workers sell their labor, farmers sell their produce. money now appears more powerful than anything else and drives people crazy. the temptation of money often challenges one's honor. we are not ashamed to make more money to have a better life by our sweat. however, there is a widespread concern that millionaires become the heroes no matter whether they make any contribution to our society. some people try desperately to make big money, which, more often than not, end up with degradation, corruption and crime.

though money is indispensable to our life, dirty money may drag us into hell. there are many things no money can buy. we will keep our honor intact at any cost because it is our soul. love of money is the root of all evil. for myself, i would rather die than dishonor myself for money.

i often wonder what friendship is. friendship is too big a topic to talk about either specifically or generally. i guemost of us are still in a puzzling state about what friendship is, and i myself should be included. maybe people who define friendship according to his own life experience will say that they have a good concept of friendship, which i think is too narrow to get an objective

definition of it. but how hard it would be to talk about friendship without mixing personal feeling in it, especially when it comes to the matter of closest friend. so here i would like to share my views with you about friendship, about my closest friend. i have had friends since i was born, some of whom have come along with me through my life, and it is impossible to always keep your friends around you since departure is one part of life that everybody must experience. though some of you may oppose me by exaggerating the connotation of the concept of being together that is friends may not stay together physically but they can stay together always psychologically,i still hold that departure is an absolute thing. how could it be possible that your friend (even your closest friend) always keeps you in heart as he/she had, is having and will have different experiences from yours? somehow different experiences make up of different hearts. man’s heart is a quite strange thing. never think that one can wholly touch it. sometimes our heart is so abstract that you don’t even know how to get to them. if we take heart as a cube, and closest friend a gentle breeze, this breeze can only blow one facet of this cube from one direction and can rarely reach any other sides of your

heart. i’m not sure whether i have put it very clearly but believe me that there are no fixed closest friend in your life. with different time, place, space, emotion and situation, you have

different closest friends. when i play basketball, i have a closest friend who knows how to cooperate with me and together give our opponents a deadly attack; when i am alone and feel so lonely, i have a friend who can always comfort me by saying that he is my friend; when i am in need of money, the one who comes all the way and lend his money to me without any hesitation is my closest friend.

when i am proud and a friend dares to stand out to warn me that i should keep modest, he is my closest friend; and, when i read old man and the sea, i think hemingway is my best friend. you see then, how many closest friends i have. but i must say, though i always want to keep all of them in my heart, they are not actually always in my heart. they have their own friends and their own life. winston churchill once said that there’s no perpetual friend, nor perpetual enemy, only perpetual interest. i guehe’s right in some way.personally i think it is a shame for people who take a pet as his closest friend as this is a sheer insult to human being and an absolute indignity for the word friendship. if a dog is his closest friend, what is human to him? you can imagine how would a person with his animal closest friend do to people. and maybe sometimes a dog can give him mental comfort, but what a dog likes best is just a bone. friendship is indeed an inborn desire of mankind, and it is relationship between people, not between people and animals. if you seek friendship, please seek it from people, from people around you.actually i have much more to say but…

  your criticism welcome

youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exxists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.

years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s nexxt and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courag

Most people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to popularity? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well'groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.

Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. It's also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.

We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely.

When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.

One night, I plained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,"you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on plaints and anxiety. The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more."

It is the same with filling the jar. Even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.

The lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. I believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,"I did not have enough time."The fact is I do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. The point is I have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no plaint! It is during my moments of plaining or hesitation that my destiny is shaped. Once I make full use of every moment, I believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.

Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. As Henry David Thoreau said,"You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment."

Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future, I will tell myself "Carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count."

Springs are not always the same. In some years, April bursts upon Virginia hills in one prodigious leap – and all the stage is filled at once, whole choruses of tulips, arabesques of forsythia, cadenzas of flowering plum. The trees grow leaves overnight.

In other years, spring tiptoes in. It pauses, overcome by shyness, like my grandchild at the door, peeping in, ducking out of sight, giggling in the hallway. “I know you’re out there,” I cry. “Come in!” And April slips into our arms.

The dogwood bud, pale green, is inlaid with russet markings. Within the perfect cup a score of clustered seeds are nestled. One examines the bud in awe: Where were those seeds a month ago? The apples display their milliner’s scraps of ivory silk, rose-tinged. All the sleeping things wake up – primrose, baby iris, blue phlox. The earth warms – you can smell it, feel it, crumble April in your hands.

Look to the rue anemone, if you will, or the pea patch, or to the stubborn weed that thrusts its shoulders through a city street. This is how it was, is now, and ever shall be, the world without end. In the serene certainty of spring recurring, who can fear the distant fall?

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. and so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

In china, people believe that,at the beginning, the tiger and the cat were friends, and the cat was much smarter than the tiger cat learned the physical skills quickly, and the tiger was always ually, the tiger had to learn from the cat,and the cat was patient to teach the after day, month after month, finally, the tiger could also run, jump, roll, grasp, tear, and strike as well as the cat.

One summer afternoon, the cat was taking a nap as the tiger sitting ing at the cat,the tiger suddenly thought, why should he keep befriending with such a small animal since he had already learnt all the skills from the cat?The evil tiger decided to kill the sleeping cat as a before dinner tiger stood up and approached the cat as this moment, the cat woke ing up her eyes, the smart cat immediately realized what the tiger was trying to do and swiftly jumped onto a nearby tall tree and climbed to the top branch.

The tiger thought he had already learned every skill from the cat he never knew that the cat had hidden the tree climbing from him.

“I kept the last technique of the tree climbing from you just because I suspected you might be can ungrateful friend.” The cat loudly told the tiger who watched under the tree helplessly.

There are four seasons in a year. Which do you think is the best? Do you want to know what I think? I think spring is the best season. Why? Let me tell you.

In spring, the days get warmer and warmer, the sky is blue, the air is clean, the trees and grass turn green, and all kinds of flowers are beautiful. There are so many beautiful things.

In spring, I can store my winter's clothes in the bag under my bed and put on the sweater or other spring's clothes. They're colorful and trendy. I can do enough outdoor activities, like flying kites.

In spring, I like going out for a walk when it rains. I think it's a wonderful thing. The rain washes away the drought of winter and brings in nice and wet air.

Spring is the most beautiful and the most wonderful season. I love everything that the spring brings. When you finish reading this passage, I hope you will love spring, too.
